What Is Sod/Grading?

As you may have guessed, sod is another term for grass. Sod is very important for numerous reasons such as raising the monetary value of your property as well as positively adding to the environment and making sure the local ecosystem is thriving. Deciding to change your sod can be due to a number of reasons that range from wanting more durable grass to have a lawn that is neat and trim.

Grade is a type of landscaping to ensure that there is a level base. It’s a way to engineer your landscape, so that there’s a level base or a specified slope. Grading is supposed to help with surface drainage or garden improvements. For example, if you’d like to level out your lawn to eliminate the drainage, then grading would be the best option for you. One of the services we offer is to improve the grading and solve the drainage that might be occurring on your landscape. From correct to improper grading, we have the experience to handle it all.

Our Sod Options

We have three different types of sod that you can take advantage of. These three types of sod are:

  • Zoysia: This grass is durable and can stand up against heavy foot traffic, heat, and even a drought. This tough grass is great for a dense lawn that you want to be beautiful.
  • Bermuda: Bermuda grass is common in the south. It’s more for hot and humid climates because of the arid terrain.
  • Fescue: This type of grass comes in tall or fine. Tall originated in Europe and is more of a cool-weather type of grass. Fine is less popular and has thinner leaf blades while tolerating lower mow heights.
