Michaelangelo's Sustainable Landscape and Design Group was founded by Michael Lores Jr., who started the company when he was just 17 years old. Growing up with a love for nature and horticulture, Michael forewent his senior year of high school to focus on building his business. He started out as a one-man lawn maintenance company, mowing lawns himself to provide high-quality services to his clients.
Determined to learn as much as he could about the field he loved, Michael went to college at night while continuing to run his business during the day. He studied Landscape Management, Environmental Sustainability, and Environmental Horticulture, and with his new knowledge and expertise, he was able to expand the capabilities and offerings of his company.
Despite the challenges of the Great Recession of 2008, Michaelangelo's survived and thrived, thanks to Michael's commitment to building a strong team and providing exceptional customer service. Today, the company has grown to over 45 team members and is known for its expertise and dedication to sustainability.
Michael's passion for small business and the positive impact it can have on people's lives drives him every day. He loves being able to provide jobs for his team members and create beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces for his clients.
